How do I log in to eFile and submit a Tax Form?
eFile is a secure, web-based application that eligible CCA taxpayers can use to file available forms electronically. To use eFile, you need a computer, a connection to the Internet, and your tax information (e.g., W2 forms or 1099-MISC forms).To eFile a Tax Form, do the following:
1. Open your Internet browser and navigate to https://efile.ccatax.ci.cleveland.oh.us or navigate to http://www.ccatax.ci.cleveland.oh.us
2. Find and click the eFile link on CCA's Home Page.
The Welcome to CCA eFile! screen appears.
3. After reviewing the information on how to use eFile, click Next.
The Web Filing Agreement screen appears in separate Window.
NOTE: For security purposes, you Internet browser's toolbars are hidden, and
you cannot use right-click features on eFile pages.
4. Carefully review the terms for using eFile, and then click I Agree to continue using eFile.
NOTE: if you click I Disagree, your eFile session ends.
The User Login screen appears:

5. Type your Social Security or Federal ID number. Do not use spaces or hyphens.
NOTE: Joint Filers must use Primary Taxpayer's Information.
5.1 If you are registered with CCA but have never Signed-up eFile account the following message appears:
Click OK to eFile Signup to create an eFile account.
The eFile Signup screen appears:

5.2 If you do not have an existing registered account the following message appears:

Click OK to eFile complete the Registration process before beginning eFile.
The New Account Registration screen appears:


Who is eligible to use eFile?
Eligibility requirements vary depending on which eFile form you are submitting. At a minimum, you must meet the following qualifications:- You must be a registered CCA taxpayer. This means you filed a tax return with CCA in the last 5 years or registered with CCA within the last year(either by mail or through internet).
- You did not change your name, address, or filing status from January 1 thru December 31 of the tax year for which you are filing.
- You are filing for the current tax year.

How do I know if I am registered as a CCA taxpayer?
If you filed a return with CCA in the last 5 years, you are registered with CCA. Also, if you receive any pre-printed tax forms from CCA, you are already registered with CCA.If you are not registered with CCA, please complete the on-line registration before you use eFile.
To register, complete and submit a taxpayer registration form.

What If I forget my eFile password?
If you have already Signed Up to use eFile and forgot your eFile password, do the following:1. Navigate to the User Log In screen.

Human Verification code | CCA uses this field to verify that a person and not an automated system is completing the eFile form. 4. To submit the request, click Next.
eFile sends an email to your personal email address and the following message appears:

6. To obtain your eFile password, open your personal email and note your password.7. Log in to eFile as normal.

How do I change the email address to which CCA eFile notifications are sent?
CCA eFile sends notifications and password change requests to the email address that you specify when you create your eFile account. If you want to change the email address to which eFile notifications are sent, do the following:1. Navigate to the User Log In screen.
